Bold architectural colour inspired by the Australian outback
This home backs onto Parsley Bay Reserve on Sydney harbour, a location regarded as a hidden gem by locals. The original brief was for a bold and architecturally strong home that was comfortable, inviting and geared for entertaining and easy flow from indoors to out. Artisan craftspeople worked alongside tradespeople to bring about the design created by architects Tobias Partners. The bold choice of external colour was inspired by the Australian outback. Passive solar design was paramount to the design, which also achieves an understated frontage set back from the street, so the home sits lightly in its magical location.
