Serene, minimalist beach house in Auckland
This magnificent minimalist beach house in Auckland is situated on a long narrow site that descends 15m to sea level. Designed by Fearon Hay Architects, the concept was to arrange a sequence of interior and exterior spaces along the length of the site and to open the living spaces to multiple view angles at differing times of day.The open plan consists of overlapping zones, providing various levels of privacy or interaction. The pared back simplicity of the architecture and the interiors works beautifully to enhance the stunning coastal views.
