Concrete eco treehouse in Guatamala
Interweaving and immersing a home into the landscape (rather than imposing the structure on it) is the hero of eco home design.
Exhibit A: this jaw-dropper by Paz Architects with a design that was laser focussed on preserving the existing trees on the site.
The forest was integrated into the house itself, the trees interacting with the living space and providing columns for the structure of the architecture.
Exposed concrete and timber formwork are the main structural components of the treehouse, chosen to integrate and complement the textures of the forest. The undergrowth of the forest landscape has even been continued inside the house, underneath the stairwell and around the base of the trees.
