Treetops at Cottage Point
This wonderful property is called Treetops and is located in Cottage Point, Sydney’s smallest suburb, with only 52 homes located there. This home was designed by the late architect Bruce Rickard who studied architecture in the United States and was strongly influenced by the work of Frank Lloyd Wright. He said that Frank Lloyd Wright “had principles that made sense, his houses were spacious but not particularly big, they were of a democratic scale. There was also integrity of materials – wood appeared as wood, brick as brick, stone as stone – and I’ve always tried to follow that.” These principles are certainly at play here, with a home that naturally integrates with the surrounding trees and bushland.
