There is a real movement towards small multipurpose sustainable homes and I just love it! This modern prefab cabin in Spain is an excellent example of the trend, and was trucked in and assembled in just a day (after 4-6 weeks manufacturing). Designed by Spanish architecture studio ÁBATON the prefab manages to fit an open plan living area, master bedroom and full bathroom into just 27sqm!
Although the sheep must have wondered what the heck was happening when the truck turned up, the house does blend beautifully into the rural surrounds with its muted grey palette of fibre cement cladding and lots of openings to the warm interiors paneled in Spanish Fir Tree.

“We worked to create an interior environment that, despite its modest dimensions, could offer its inhabitants a complete experience, filled with light and harmony. The home is designed to be self-sufficient, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability and respect for the environment. Furthermore, its modular nature and ability to be easily transported by road make it an ideal choice for those seeking flexibility and freedom without sacrificing a high-quality home.” – the architects.
